The pain relieving expert explains: Pain caused by arthrosis in the body. Is it possible that nutrition is one of the keys to speeding up recovery?
Basically yes. If the necessary materials are not available, how will the body be able to build the foundation, walls and roof? Anti-inflammatory food helps with pain and the healing of inflammatory processes, especially with arthrosis. A food that increases the inflammation in the body will therefore trigger exactly the opposite.
This is important: We are talking about periods of years, decades… 20, 30, 40 and more years. And at some point, the point where the system tips over. Omega 6 fatty acid. Too much of it in the daily diet has an anti-inflammatory effect. This fat is more abundant in dairy products, sausages and meat. It would make sense to have a ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 in the body of 2.5 (Omega 6) to 1 (Omega 3), which would be inflammation-neutral.
The ratio triggered by what we eat every day is about 15 (Omega 6) to 1 (Omega 3). 15:1. An increased inflammatory potential, about 6 times higher than biologically intended, over 10, 20, 30 years? Hm… could already make a difference. Could be, isnt?
3 variations:
The best variant: Less of what is not supportive. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
2nd variant: Replacing meat with fish, because fish (straight fat cold-water fish) are rich in anti-inflammatory eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). In order to take in sufficient Omega 3 with food, an amount (every week) of about 1.5-2 kilograms of wild salmon would be necessary. Thats a lot.
3rd option: In addition to what is eaten daily, the intake of omega 3 is increased. To reduce the inflammatory potential. On an Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio to perhaps 10:1 ;… 3:1 ??
Probably a combination of all 3 variants is the most practical. Omega 3 is available in capsules. And only one (!) Omega capsule a day is too little (usually theres 1g Omega 3 per capsule) to compensate for a 15:1 ratio. That is ambitious. That in advance.
Apart from price, quality is the decisive factor. A high proportion of EPA and DHA is a must.
Questions that should be asked to the seller in addition: Own experience with the product? Cheap Omega 3 products tend to produce a fishy burp. What is the situation here? Where does the Omega 3 come from?
Free from various additives and heavy metals? Any evidence of this?
